I’ve moved into a house with a harbor breeze fan (per the pull chain medallion) without documentation. I’ve looked at the top of the housing above the blades and under the “base cap” where the pull chains come out. I can’t find the model number.

It has leaf blades like a Waveport but far, far more detailed, as well as fluting in the metal of the body. From looking at a photo at my local Lowes, they believe it may be a special order, “higher end” model, but could offer no suggestions on how else I could identify it.

I’d like to try an add a light. This appears to supported, as the fan has 2 pull chains, one on the side labeled FAN, and one in the center labeled LIGHT.

Can anyone offer any suggestions on how I might proceed without a model number to find a compatible light, or determine if there is an inventory of special order lines above the lines Lowes level that I could review?

    I’d appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

We’ll need to determine the model first, try reading this article that should help you to determine what model of fan you have.
