Light stopped working on Harbor Breeze Wakefield Ceiling Fan
We recently had a site visitor ask the following question,
Hi there, I have a Harbor Breeze Wakefield ceiling fan, the model is 40105. How can I find parts to fix the light on my Wakefield ceiling fan? The electrician said to contact Harbor Breeze for assistance, or look at replacing the fan.
Answer: In terms of finding parts for the Wakefield ceiling fan, it depends on what part you need exactly.

If the light kit has stopped working due to a popping sound
What kind of lamps are in the fixture? The kind of lamps that the fan uses indicate how much current is passing through, or how much current is being utilized by the lamps. The different bulbs you could be using include incandescent, halogen, CFL (compact florescent), or LED.
If the remote is not syncing, connecting to or talking to the fan
If you are having a problem with the remote, and the remote won’t sync with your fan: is it possible to test the remote with other ceiling fans in your home? This is not always an option, however if you have other fans in the home that are compatible with the remote (like the same manufacturer, same or similar model) then you can test that remote on other fans in the home to determine if it’s a problem with the remote or receiver on the fan. If the remote you’re holding does work with another fan, then the receiver inĀ your fan is the problem.
If you are experiencing problems with the remote, we recommend reading our page on troubleshooting ceiling fan remote and receiver issues.
Can you help me to find the Harbor Breeze Wakefield Ceiling Fan Manual?
Yes, we can help with this. Please see this page which will take you to the Harbor Breeze Wakefield ceiling fan manual. The manual is an excellent place to look to find all kinds of information, such as parts and part numbers that are specifically related to the Wakefield. Page 4 of the manual shows the package contents that will come with the fan.
See the Wakefield fan in operation
Here is a video that a site visitor submitted, that shows the ceiling fan in operation. The fan appears to have five speed settings. It does not a bad job of moving air around and looks like the blades are turning quite rapidly on the high speed 5 setting. Not all fans have 5 speeds – many are three speed fans, so just something to keep in mind.
